Welcome to Long Beach . . . not just another pretty beach.

Long Beach, California... truly a city of many faces. Long Beach is a destination to be experienced and enjoyed on your own terms. Whether your taste is for urban excitement or waterfront relaxation, Long Beach will impress you. Our city offers you a relaxed atmosphere alongside big-name attractions, miles of sandy beaches, period architecture and world-class museums and public facilities.

Long Beach has an amazing balance between industry, recreation, natural beauty and culture. Add to that our central location in the heart of Southern California and the wealth of services we offer to travelers, and it's clear why more and more visitors are choosing Long Beach. The Long Beach Airport is an efficient hub for travelers, and the Long Beach and Los Angeles Cruise Terminals allow for a convenient side-trip to Mexico.

During your stay in Long Beach, be prepared to choose how to spend your free time: doing everything or nothing at all. Long Beach restaurants are waiting to serve you casual or formal fare of nearly every type of cuisine imaginable. Long Beach shops include the chains you know and love and independents you won't find anywhere else. These restaurants and shops can be found in quaint enclaves, on our scenic waterfront, or in the heart of Downtown. A few minutes south of our city, you will find Seal Beach and its picturesque Old Town Historic District.

Long Beach hotels range from bed and breakfasts to waterfront resorts and family-oriented accommodations to high-rise complexes.

The list of attractions in Long Beach only begins with the Aquarium of the Pacific and The Queen Mary. Try a professional or college sporting event, a dinner theatre show, a harbor cruise, an afternoon cocktail or even a lively nightclub. They're all here. Welcome to Long Beach!
